Merrill Zeringue presented the award to Anthony Smart.
Merrill Zeringue, a member of the Vieux Carre Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) presented the organization’s annual Good Citizenship Award Anthony Smart.

Smart has been an active member of the DHS Jr. ROTC for four years. According to Zeringue, Smart is an honorable young man because of his outstanding community service and leadership.

DAR is a volunteer women's organization founded on the principles of service in education, patriotism, and historic preservation. DAR presents the Good Citizenship Award to an outstanding senior who displays the qualities of honor, service, courage, leadership and patriotism.
