2 charged with attempted murder after Boutte stabbing
Courtney McCoy, 28, of 119 Church St. in Paradis and Troy Landry, 32, of 402 Sharon Ave. in Boutte, allegedly stabbed the man at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday in the 100 block of Coleman Lane in Boutte.
Capt. Pat Yoes, Sheriff’s Office spokesman, said that McCoy and Landry had an altercation with the victim earlier in the week.
"The victim knew both of them. They had a conflict earlier in the week and it appears their intent was to try and rob him," Yoes said.
Police were called after the victim’s brother came home and found his sibling covered in blood, Yoes said.
The victim was transported to St. Charles Parish Hospital for his wounds. McCoy and Landry were also charged with armed robbery and are both being held in the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center under bonds of $200,000.
A 22-year-old Baton Rouge woman, Vione Braud, was also arrested in connection with the case after she provided a false alibi for Landry, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Braud is charged with accessory to attempted first degree murder and accessory to armed robbery. Her bond was set at $50,000.

Hahnville can't contain St. Thomas More in 52-12 loss - 553 views
Week 5 at St. Thomas More always promised to be one of the most challenging games on Hahnville’s schedule from both a physical and mental standpoint — the 4A Cougars are a perennial state contender, and the game would entail a Tiger road trip to Lafayette one week after facing archrival Destrehan.
