Thibodaux Playhouse presents ‘God of Carnage’
The play focuses on a playground altercation between 11-year-old boys that bring together two sets of Brooklyn parents for a meeting to resolve the matter. At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses, and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more than just their liberal principles in tatters.
The play includes adult language and adult situations and is intended for mature audiences.
Evening performances are scheduled for April 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13 at 7:30 p.m. A Sunday matinée is scheduled for April 14 at 2 p.m. All six performances will be held at the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center Theatre located at 314 St. Mary Street in Thibodaux.
Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for students and children. Cash, checks and major credit cards are accepted. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling (985) 446-1896.
