LULING - Organizers are again inviting the public to join in the festivities at the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of St. Charles Parish beginning at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 13 at the West Bank Bridge Park in Luling.
Teams seek sponsorship prior to Relay, all with the goal of supporting the American Cancer Society.

This year’s theme is “Relay Goes to Disney.” Teams will dress up and decorate their campsites according to their favorite Disney movies.

Food, music, games and prizes will be available at the event.

All proceeds go to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society, which offers support services for cancer patients, survivors and family members.

Special activities for 2013 include the Ochsner Blood Mobile from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m., a Louisiana Custom Cruisers Car Show from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. and performances by the Allemands Cajun Dancers, Guns n’ Hoses, Dance Unlimited, Harry Hurst Runnerettes and VooDoo Elite Cheerleaders.

Filming in New Orleans and Lafayette will continue until late May and include scenes with McConaughey in Paradis that require swamp scenes.
