This puppy is a 10-week-old male sheppard/lab mix. He is one of several siblings at the shelter just awaiting a home.

Humane Society officials said he plays like a little rascal, is very ready to play ball and would make a great family pet.

In addition to this week’s showcase pet, Humane Society officials said there are plenty  of very playful pets whose only wish is to have a home.

The St. Charles Animal Parish Shelter is located at 921 Rue Cannes in Luling.
