Remembering Fenisha Charles

DESTREHAN - Alpha Daughters of Zion will honor the memory of the late Fenisha Charles at their annual fundraiser banquet on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Jerusalem Shrine Center located at 1940 Ormond Blvd. in Destrehan from 6-9 p.m. Tickets for the event cost $25.

Fenisha Charles was an educator in St. Charles Parish. She taught at Norco Elementary, Harry Hurst Middle School and R. K. Smith Middle School. Fenisha was a victim of domestic violence.

Destrehanís football season came to an end Saturday night with a 23-7 loss to Acadiana in the Class 5A state championship game. While the season didnít end the way the Wildcats wanted it to, Destrehan head coach Stephen Robicheaux was extremely proud of his squad.
