All 4 parish soccer teams fall in first round of playoffs

The Hahnville Lady Tigers were the only St. Charles Parish team to score in the playoffs. However, it wasn’t enough as they lost 2-1 to Zachary. |
The Lady Tigers were the only team that managed to score a goal, but it wasn’t enough as No. 21 seed Zachary beat No. 12 seed Hahnville 2-1. The Broncos scored first when Katelynn Hunt blasted in a goal in the 39th minute. The Lady Tigers came right back to tie it when senior forward Kaleigh Mayeux found the back of the net.
However, Zachary re-took the lead shortly before the first half ended when Monica McKay scored on a deflection.
The Hahnville boys, who won District 8-1, received the 28th seed and traveled to face No. 5 St. Paul’s. They lost 5-0. The Destrehan boys, who received a higher seed than Hahnville due to the strength of their out of district schedule, fell to No. 8 St. Thomas More 4-0.
The Destrehan girls, who received the 29th seed, lost to No. 4 Mt. Carmel 8-0.
