Destrehan High School drafting students earn certification

Destrehan High School drafting teacher Rick Hollier had 10 drafting students earn the Mechanical Apprentice Drafter Certification during the fall 2012 term.

This is the highest number of students earning this industry based certification in school history. DHS is one of few high schools that offer this level of certification. According to the CATE data system in 2010-11, a total of 17 certificates were awarded in the state of Louisiana to high school students.
