Body of missing Boutte man found floating in river
A body that was found floating in the Mississippi River has been identified as that of a Boutte man who has been missing since Christmas, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Ronald Miller Sr., 39, was last seen on Dec. 25 at 5:30 p.m. after being dropped off at his Boutte Estates home by his mother. Miller had a history of epilepsy.
A barge operator called the U.S. Coast Guard at 1:15 p.m. last Wednesday to report seeing a body floating in the river near the area of Third Street and Coleman Place in Kenner.
Authorities identified Miller through tattoos. The cause of death is still under investigation, according to Capt. Pat Yoes, Sheriff’s Office spokesman.
