Victor Joseph Matherne, 95, passed away on Monday, Nov. 26 at 9:45 a.m. in Luling.
Beloved husband of Edna Dufrene Matherne. Father of Ray Matherne and wife Elsa, Michael Matherne and wife Cynthia, Annabel Hogan and husband Donald and Mary Dufrene and husband Dale.
Son of the late Jacque and Henrietta Matherne. Brother of the late Samson, Felix, Anthony, Arthur, Sidney and Hector Matherne. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A native and resident of Des Allemands.
Graveside services were held on Thursday, Nov. 29 at Sunset Cemetery in Bayou Gauche.

This bipartisan legislation aims to improve the National Flood Insurance Program by ensuring that the implementation of new rates do not burden homeowners or slow the recovery of the nation's housing market.
