Author and poet Elgin Pierre recently visited Tina Westbrook’s 7th grade reading class at Albert Cammon Middle School. His visit included him reading a poem that he wrote to all of Mrs. Westbrook’s classes.

ACM student Larry Davis said that he "really enjoyed Mr. Pierre being there and telling us about where he gets his inspiration from, and just encouraging us to write." Jalynn Augillard said that "he taught us some very important life lessons." Mr. Pierre’s overall message was that everyone can use his or her own gift to excel in whatever it is that they want to do.
