We asked kids from around the parish what their favorite food for Thanksgiving is, how it is cooked and what they are most thankful for. They gave us some great answers!

Lakewood Elementary – 3rd Grade  

Collin Lee 

My favorite food for Thanksgiving is chiken nudle supe with jelly.

 

You get a cup of chicken nudle supe and open it, put it in the mikerwave and go get jelly and you are done.

 

I am most thankful for God letting things be alive.

 

Ashley Kennedy 

My favorite food for Thanksgiving is mashed potatoes with juicy gravy on top. To make it my mom goes to Wall-Mart to get some potatoes then I put the potatoes in a bag and mash them hard.

 

I am most thankful for our food because that is what I pray for on Thanksgiving and if Thanksgiving never happened what would we pray for?

My favorite food for Thanksgiving is the stuffing it taste a little sweet. It is my favorite. This is how my mom makes it. She put a little of suger and a little of meat in it then she puts it in the oven.

 

I am thankful for being here with my family. I am happy to see their smiles on their face.

I love my moms cheese macaroni and cheese. It’s very stringy. It’s homemade. Homemade cooking is the best. That’s why my favrit is macaroni and cheese. You boyle the nootles and pore the cheese then put it in the oven.

 

I am thankful for all of the food that I eat on Thanksgiving and being with my loving family.

My favorite food is juicy mouth watering turkey and juicy mouth watering ham. You get ham from the store and put it in the oven. Then get turkey and put it in the oven.

My favorit food is a mawth watring juicy errisistable turkey. It is made with bbq seacening and then cook it in the oven.

 

I am thankful for a kind, hart loving, loving family.

I like roasted turkey the best but I like the leg the best off the turkey. First I go hunt a turkey, then take the feathers off. Next we put it in the oven for three hours then it’s done.

 

I’m most thankful for my family and my friends.

My favorite Thanksgiving food are deer meat, ham and cornbread. To make deer meat you need to get a deer. Next get the meat then cook it.

 

I am thankful for my family members and all of my teachers and friends.

My favorite food for Thanksgiving is hot dogs. They are really good to me but my mom sometimes doesn’t do that. Oh yeah I like catchup with it to. To make hot dogs you boil it for about 15 minutes then take it out the pot then put it on and hot dog bun.

 

I am most thankful for God for giving us food to eat.

My favorite foods are mainly turkey, mashed potatoes and corn. Turkey is made like this…buy it from the store, season it and then bake it.

My favorite food for Thanksgiving is a hame sandwich because it has hame. First you take bred, second you put ham on it second to last you put manes last you put a nuther pese of bread on the bottom.
