HHS graduate completes basic training

Air National Guard Airman Katie S. Falgoust graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Falgoust is the daughter of Donna Rome of Julie Street in Paradis and Keith Falgoust of Barton Avenue in Luling.

She is a 2011 graduate of Hahnville High School.

Nearly five months after 23-year-old Ramal Ellis was found shot to death behind the church where he volunteered his time, officials with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office say suspects have been identified in connection with the murder, though any arrests will have to wait until the evidence is fully processed.
