Dempster
John Joseph Dempster, 69, departed this life on Monday, Aug. 27 at his home in Monticello, Miss. He was a veteran of the Army and a retiree of Occidental Chemical in Taft.
Dempster was preceded in death by his father, John Demspter Sr.; nephew, Burt Dempster Jr.; grandparents, Felician and Clara Dempster and Gustav and Celine Folse.
He is survived by wife, Alice Dufrene; sons, Ted Dempster (wife Leslie) and Craig Dempster (wife Nicole); grandchildren, Blake Dempster, Breanna Dempster Ryan, Leighton Dempster, Dakota Dempster, Davin Dempster and great-granddaughter Abigail Ryan.
He is also survived by mother, Celine Folse Dempster and brothers, Burt, Curtis, Kenneth and Terry Dempster.

Arrest made in connection with West Bank burglary - 2482 views
The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 29-year-old Waggaman man they believe could be responsible for up to nine home burglaries that took place in Luling and Ama in the last month.
