Vincent R. Haupt, 83, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 29.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. the son of immigrants from Germany. He graduated from City College of New York with a degree in chemical engineering and worked at Monsanto in St. Louis, Mo.; Anniston, Ala. and retired from their Luling plant.
He was preceded in death by his dear wife Jeanne F. Haupt.
He is survived by sons, Steve and Kerry (wife Debby); daughters, Rosanna and Anitra; sister, Lollie Carretta and brother William "Bill" Haupt.

Richmond, Waters introduce bill to reform flood insurance - 609 views
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Cedric Richmond (LA-02), along with Congresswoman Maxine Waters (CA-43), introduced The Flood Insurance Implementation Reform Act of 2013. This bipartisan legislation aims to improve the National Flood Insurance Program by ensuring that the implementation of new rates do not burden homeowners or slow the recovery of the nation's housing market.
