A 42-year-old Terrytown man has been arrested and charged with the sexual battery of his 3-year-old daughter, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The name of the suspect was withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

While the man is from Terrytown, the battery is alleged to have taken place at a relative’s house in St. Charles Parish. Capt. Pat Yoes, spokesman for the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, said that the little girl complained of pain to her mother and the mother contacted police.
