CASA training to help neglected and abused children
LULING - The Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program of Child Advocacy Services needs volunteers to be the voices for abused and neglected children in the community.
CASA training for St. Charles and St. John Parish volunteers will begin Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. and is set to take place at the Luling CASA office at 816 Paul Maillard Road in Luling.

Seventh grade whiz kid stuns teachers, parents with ACT score - 615 views
Most graduating seniors do not come close to scoring a 27 on the ACT test, but 13-year-old J.B. Martin Middle School 7th grader Lauren Watson did just that this school year.
