Police searching for man seen taking pictures of children at Norco school
The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is still searching for a man who was seen taking photos of children at Norco Elementary during recess last week.
According to a witness, the man was between 40 to 50 years old and was driving a 1990s model gold-colored minivan. Deputies checked all schools in the parish in order to find the man but were unable to do so.
"While there is no conclusive proof of any crime, we are anxious to locate and interview this person," St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne said.
St. Charles Parish Public Schools issued a statement saying they were made aware of the report by the Sheriff’s Office.
"This person was not on the campus. The school system is working closely with the Sheriff’s department to monitor the situation and ensure the safety and security of all students."
