Arrests
•Dewayne Walker, 40, of 157 W. James Drive in Destrehan, was arrested on Sept. 5 and charged with possession of cocaine and morphine.
•Jamaal E. Williams, 25, of 510 E. Club Drive in St. Rose, was arrested on Sept. 4 and charged with possession with intent to distribute fake cocaine and improper equipment on vehicle.
•Michael Parks, 50, of 14270 Cajun Paradise Road in Paradis, was arrested on Sept. 5 and charged with D.W.I. and driving roadway lane of traffic.
•Tierra A. Paul, 21, of 244 Mockingbird Lane in St. Rose, was arrested on Sept. 4 and charged with looting and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
•Damian M. Blanks, 22, of 628 Mockingbird Lane in St. Rose, was arrested on Aug. 30 and charged with possession of a stolen firearm and felon carrying illegal weapon.
•Devon W. Joseph, 27, of 802 E. Hoover St. in New Sarpy, was arrested on Aug. 30 and charged with looting.
•Frank J. Randle, 54, of 535 Mockingbird Lane in St. Rose, was arrested on Aug. 30 and charged with possession of tools for crime, proclamation of state of emergency, possession of morphine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
•Dionne B. Sherman, 42, of 728 Turtle Creek Lane in St. Rose, was arrested on Aug. 30 and charged with possession of tools for crime, proclamation of state of emergency, possession of morphine, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting an officer and fugitive of Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.
•Russell J. Anderson, 40, of 133 Stanton Court in LaPlace, was arrested on Sept. 2 and charged with D.W.I., reckless operation, suspended driver’s license and open container.
•Eric A. Schexnaydre, Jr., 33, of 209 W. Harding St. in New Sarpy, was arrested on Sept. 2 and charged with D.W.I., reckless operation and yield to emergency vehicle.
•Teodulo Nunez-Santibanez, 43, of 110 Rocks Lane in Boutte, was arrested on Sept. 1 and charged with D.W.I. and reckless operation.
•Jesse M. Matherne, 28, of 157 Maloney Lane in Des Allemands, was charged with D.W.I., possession of marijuana and fugitive from Gretna.
•Rhonda A. Margiotta, 47, of 103 Village Drive in Chavin, was arrested on Sept. 2 and charged with D.W.I., fugitive from Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, fugitive from Westwego Police Department and fugitive from Tangiapahoa Sheriff’s Office.
•David J. Isaac, 24, of 244 Meadows Drive in Destrehan, was arrested on Aug. 27 and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting an officer.
•Carlos Glenn, 31, of 1 Summerton Drive #37 in St. Rose, was arrested on Aug. 30 and charged with attempted possession of a schedule II drug-Vicodin and proclamation of a state of emergency.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Cedric Richmond (LA-02), along with Congresswoman Maxine Waters (CA-43), introduced The Flood Insurance Implementation Reform Act of 2013. This bipartisan legislation aims to improve the National Flood Insurance Program by ensuring that the implementation of new rates do not burden homeowners or slow the recovery of the nation's housing market.
