Destrehan grad represents parish at minority educators conference
Mya LaGrange, a recent graduate of Destrehan High School, represented the St. Charles Parish School district as a panelist at the 22nd Annual Leadership Conference for Minority Administrators in Bay St. Louis, Miss. on June 14.

Mya was one of four students participating in discussions about the educational experiences of high school students.

Information gathered at the conference will be utilized to develop strategies to enhance education at the high school level.

School administrators and educators from 13 southern states participated in the conference.

Mya has recieved a full scholarship and will attend the University of Missouri beginning this fall to pursue a degree in broadcast journalism.
