Humana non-profit grant deadline

NEW ORLEANS - St. Charles Parish nonprofits focused on improving health experiences or building healthy communities can submit their entry for the $100,000 grant from Humana Communities Benefit-New Orleans.

Local charities have until Tuesday, July 31 to apply.
Now in its sixth year, the Humana Communities Benefit-New Orleans grant has had a transformational impact on several local nonprofits. Humana is excited to award the $100,000 grant to another organization this fall.

The body of a man lost when his workboat capsized in the Mississippi River near the Hale Boggs Memorial Bridge on Dec. 30 has been identified as Jayme Swafford, 36, of Hammond.
