Free job skills training: wireless setup
DESTREHAN - The East Regional Library is offering a free job skills training class on wireless setup from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on July 30. The aim of the course is to assist the unprepared to join today’s technology-heavy work force.
The program is run in conjunction with the State Library of Louisiana.
The library is located at 160 W. Campus Dr. in Destrehan.
Participants should register in advance. Help is available from any library staff member or you can visit www.lajacc.org/training or call (888) 487-2700.

Police dog sniffs out suspected burglar - 1300 views
With the assistance of a K-9 officer, police were able to track down a 23-year-old man who reportedly stole items from a car and broke into a house early Friday morning.
