Michael Walter Humphreys, 54, departed this life on Wednesday, July 4, 2012.

He was born in New Orleans, raised in River Ridge and has resided in Luling. Loving father of Bridgit, Kyle and Elizabeth Humphreys. Grandfather of Emersyn Humphreys. Beloved son of the late Clifford Humphreys and Claire Bozonier Humphreys. Brother of Bruce Humphreys, Sandy Humphreys and the late Clifford Humphreys Jr. He is also survived by a multitude of other relatives and friends. Michael was a free spirit with a heart of gold. He was an avid gardener and conservationist who found beauty in everything. Mike never met a stranger and was the life of the party. He will be missed deeply by all. Relatives and friends of the family were invited to attend a visitation and Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home on Monday, July 9. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either the New Orleans Chapter of Motorcycle Awareness Campaign (MAC) via or The Arc of St. Charles, P.O. Box 455, Boutte, LA 70039.
