Duhe completes basic training
Air Force Airman Eliska M. Duhe graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Duhe is the daughter of Troy and Hope Duhe of Evangeline Road, Montz.
She is a 2002 graduate of Destrehan High School. She earned an associate degree in 2005 from Full Sail Real World Education, Orlando, Fla.

Court tosses out 75-year sentence - 984 views
A 43-year-old man who was sentenced to 75 years in jail for molestation of a juvenile and sexual battery will be retried after his sentence was thrown out by an appellate court due to a technicality.
