Hunter education classes
KILLONA - The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Department will offer a two-day hunter education class on Friday, July 6 from 6-9:30 p.m. and Saturday, July 7 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
The classes will be held at the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s firing range at 5061 LA 3127 in Killona.
State law requires that all individuals born on or after September 1, 1969 obtain a hunting license prior to hunting in Louisiana.
The course will cover such topics as firearm safety, survival, first aid and wildlife identification.
