Mrs. Lynne Cantrell Spears, 75, of Destrehan, passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside on Saturday, June 9, 2012, after a long battle with cancer.
She was the beloved mother of her daughter, Ellen Spears Clancy and son-in-law John R. Clancy; son, Curtis W. Spears Jr., and daughter-in-law Robin Robert Spears. She is also survived by her grandchildren John R. Clancy Jr. and wife Corey, Ryan C. Clancy, Blaine A. Clancy and wife Sara, Katie Spears Turner and husband Michael, and Chad R. Spears, and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Jeannette C. Milazzo, Elaine C. George, Ruby C. Joiner, Claire C. Long and brother, Frank A. Cantrell, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis W. Spears, Sr., father Joseph John Cantrell, mother Elva Trauth Cantrell, and brothers Joseph G. Cantrell, Eugene B. Cantrell, and Melvin J. Cantrell.
Private services will be held by the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of H. C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco.
