Diana "MawDee" Schaubhut Folse, 79, a native and resident of Des Allemands, died on Sunday May 27, 2012. Visitation was on Thursday, May 31, at St. Gertrude Catholic Church. Mass was held at 11 a.m. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Daniel Jr. (wife Evelyn), Donald (wife Shonda), Willie (wife Connie), Alex Sr. (wife Natalie), Cecil, Richard (wife Wendy), Johnny (wife Sharon), Jesse (wife Roxy) and Stanley; daughter Deborah Loupe (husband Perry), Darlene Leblanc (husband Patrick), Pauline Badeaux (husband Rickey), Mary-Ann Galey (husband Bobby), Jane Dempster (husband Darren), Dawn Gassen (husband Sydney); Brother Johnny Schaubhut; Sister Mary Gaubert and 28 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by husband Daniel Folse Sr.; parents William "Willie" and Cecile Schaubhut; brothers Jimmy Schaubhut and Lloyd Schaubhut; sister-in-law Louise Schaubhut; son-in-law Carl Gros; daughter-in-law Debra Folse and grandchildren Adam Folse and Garrett Gros.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Raceland was in charge of arrangments.

St. Charles Parish plans to go out for construction bids next month on the first phase of the Willowridge levee, assuming a judge rules in the parish’s favor regarding a portion of the land needed for the project.
