Lionel "Baby Doo" "Mr. Cool" Williams died on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at his home in Luling.

Son of the late Leola and Daws Williams and Eddie Colbert. Beloved husband of Marion Pierre Williams. Stepfather of Denise Francois, Leo Byrd Jr. (Sherrin), Bryant Byrd (Helena), Paulette Thomas (Reggie), Marsalette Byrd, Kevin Byrd (Shantrell) and Triche Brown (Dominic). Brother of the late Mable Robinson, Clarence and Leonard Williams. Also survived by 21 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A native of Des Allemands and a resident of Luling. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of the Historic Bethlehem Baptist Church and all neighboring churches were invited to attend the funeral at the Historic Bethlehem Baptist Church in Hahnville on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 11 a.m. Rev. Rodney Johnson officiated. Interment at Shell Mound Cemetery, Des Allemands.
