2 arrested in St. Rose attempted murder
Police still searching for third suspect
Two St. Rose men who allegedly shot a 25-year-old acquaintance several times last Sunday have been arrested, but authorities are asking for help tracking down a third man they say is involved in the crime.
Nicholas B. Cockerham, 20, of 436 Turtle Creek Lane, and Damien Blanks, 21, of 628 Mockingbird Lane, were arrested last Monday and both booked with attempted first-degree murder.
Police are also searching for another St. Rose man who is wanted for the same crime. Jamie Robertson, whose last known address was 608 E. Club Drive in St. Rose, is 6’1", 190 pounds with a medium build and dark complexion, police say.
Anyone having any information on the whereabouts of Robertson is asked to contact Det. Brad Walsh at (985)783-1355 or 783-6807
Cockerham and Blanks were booked into the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center and are being held on $300,000 bond. Authorities say the three men were acquainted with the victim, who was listed in stable condition at University Hospital. They do not know what led to the shooting.
