Former Hahnville ace shines for Jones County

Has 11-2 record with 0.52 ERA

Former Hahnville High School ace Lauren Candies is putting together an impressive year from the stripe for the Jones County Junior College softball team.

Candies is currently 11-2 on the season with a 0.52 ERA. In 68 innings pitched, she has allowed only five earned runs and 51 hits. Candies has struck out 46 batters while walking only two.

The Jones County Lady Bobcats, who play in Ellisville, Miss., are currently ranked 10th in the nation and are 24-3 on the season.

They have a 10-2 record in the MACJC South Division and will visit defending national champion LSU-Eunice on April 6.
