Lady Tigers score 48 runs in 3 district wins
The three wins improve the Lady Tigers to 21-2 on the season and 7-0 in district competition.
Hahnville 21 Bonnabel 0
Hahnville scored 20 runs in the first inning on their way to a big win over Bonnabel. Lauren Simar and Pepper Baker both homered in the game, while Amye Barre led the team from the plate by going 2-for-2 with two doubles and three RBIs. Simar, Baker, Hope Mair and Hannah Haydel each drove in two runs for the Lady Tigers.
Haydel got the win, allowing no hits and striking out five in two innings. Lauren Beadle pitched a perfect third inning by recording three strike outs.
Hahnville 17 ESJ 0
The Lady Tiger bats continued to dominate district pitching against East St. John, with Hahnville scoring seven runs in the first inning to pace a 17-0 win.
Barre and Baker homered in the game with Barre driving in four runs and Baker finishing with three RBIs. Summer Melancon also had a big day from the plate, driving in three runs on a double.
Haydel got the win for the Lady Tigers, allowing no hits and striking out seven in four innings.
Hahnville 10 Ehret 0
Hahnville used a four-run third inning to put Ehret away as they cruised to a 10-0 victory.
Melancon led the Lady Tigers from the plate, going 3-for-3 with two RBIs. Mair finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs, while Taylor Hogan drove in two runs.
Haydel picked up the win, striking out nine while allowing only two hits in five innings.
The Lady Tigers will host Destrehan Thursday at 4 p.m. and will host Fontainebleau at 11 a.m. on Sautrday.
