Lady Tigers go 3-0 in North-South Challenge

Hahnville 10 Byrd 0
The Lady Tigers wasted little time taking an early lead over Byrd, scoring two runs in the first and four in the third on their way to a 10-0 victory.
Pepper Baker led Hahnville from the plate, hitting a three-run home run in the third. Amye Barre also jacked a home run and brought in two runs, while Lauren Simar finished with two RBIs.
Megan Bush and Hannah Haydel each had two doubles in the game.
Haydel also got the win, allowing only one hit in five innings.
Hahnville 1 Evangel 0
The Lady Tigers put up an impressive defensive performance against Evangel, with Haydel pacing the team with nine strikeouts. Haydel allowed only one hit in seven innings.
Hahnville’s sole run came in the bottom of a thrilling seventh inning when Kaylyn Morales advanced to third on a groundout by Bush and scored on a bunt by Taylor Hogan.
Hahnville 10 Haughton 3
After being held in check by Evangel, Hahnville’s offense got back on track in a 10-3 victory over Haughton.
The Lady Tigers scored seven runs in the final two innings to secure the win. Hope Mair led the squad from the plate with four RBIs on two doubles. Courtney Dutreix finished with two RBIs and a triple, while Barre, Bush and Haydel each brought in a run.
Barre also finished with two doubles in the game.
Haydel got the win, giving up six hits in seven innings.
