Hospital welcomes new Director of Case Management
River Parishes Hospital welcomes Melissa Krass, RN, MSN, as its new Director of Case Management.
Krass received a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Our Lady of Holy Cross College in New Orleans and a Master’s Degree in Nursing with a focus in Healthcare Systems Management from Loyola University. She is currently a Certified Med/Surge Nurse by American Med-Surge Nursing.
Krass brings with her nearly 15 years of nursing experience, of which six years have been in a management capacity.
She most recently served as the Director of Inpatient Services at the Surgical Specialty Center of Baton Rouge, and as the Case Manager and Nurse Manager of the Orthopedic/Neurology Unit at Baton Rouge General Hospital.
"I am pleased to be a new member of River Parishes Hospital and hope to bring the knowledge I’ve acquired from my past experience to the Case Management Department," Krass said. "I am also looking forward to learning new things that I can incorporate into our processes."
A native of New Orleans, Krass has resided in Prairieville for the past 11 years. She has been married for nearly 17 years, and she and her husband have three sons, ages 13, nine and one.
