She was a native of Norco and a retired school bus driver with the St. Charles Parish School Board for 28 years. She was the wife of the late Floyd B. Borne Sr., mother of Floyd B. Borne Jr. (wife Susan) and Gerard Borne (wife Melanie), grandmother of Gerard Borne Jr., Garrett Borne, Jarrod Borne and Jeffrey Borne; sister of Edith Simoneaux, the late Bud Granier, Kenneth Granier, Claudette Granier and Claude Henry Granier; and daughter of the late Antoine Claude Granier and Rhea Catherine Dugas. Her second family for the last ten years, Clifton V. Dixon Sr., Clifton V. Dixon Jr (wife Mary Beth) and their three children: Shay, Grace and Myles.
Services were held March 6 at H. C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco. Mass of Christian Burial was held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Fr. Terry Becnel and Fr. Ray Hymel officiating. Burial followed in St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum in Destrehan.
