Pamela Orgeron Candies
Pamela Orgeron Candies, 43, passed away on Feb. 29, 2012 in Luling.
She was the beloved wife of Garret Candies, mother of Brittany and Christa Candies, grandmother of Briahna Breaux, daughter of Katherine Cortez Orgeron and the late Kenneth Orgeron, and sister of Bradey Orgeron Sr., Tessa Dupre and Bridgett LeBlanc. She was a native and resident of Des Allemands.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held March 5 at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands with interment following in St. Gertrude Cemetery. Falgout Funeral Homes of Raceland was in charge of arrangements.

Little more than a week after officials from 14 parishes took a trip to Washington, D.C. to lobby against potential flood insurance rate hikes, some of those same officials convened with Sen. David Vitter at the home of a Bayou Gauche couple.
