Calling all teens interested in drafting, construction

DESTREHAN - Destrehan High School is hosting a Drafting and Construction Trades Career Awareness event March 15 from 6-8 p.m. for St. Charles Parish Public Schools parents and students in grades 8-12. The purpose of the event is to provide information about high school courses, careers, college, and training programs. The first 75 students will receive a “goody” bag. Each of the candidates for the Division B at-large seat say that hurricane protection is the most pressing issue facing the area, but have differing views on the best way to achieve that goal.
