Luling man charged with firing 3 shots at vehicle
A 26-year-old Luling man was arrested after authorities say he fired three shots into an occupied vehicle while at a party.
Leonard Celestine, of 1108 Paul Fredrick St., was arrested on Monday night and charged with two counts of attempted second-degree murder and aggravated criminal damage to property.
The incident took place on Feb. 19 while Celestine was attending a party at the VFW Hall in Luling. According to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, Celestine got into a fight at the party and knocked a man unconscious.
While two people jumped into their car and tried to leave the party, Celestine allegedly fired three rounds into the vehicle. There were no injuries reported, though the vehicle was damaged by gunshots.
