Banquet will benefit shelter for abused women, children
BOUTTE - The Alpha Daughters of Zion is sponsoring a fundraiser banquet on Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. All proceeds will go toward maintaining a shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence or who are homeless. Featured guests are Dr. Marilyn Diggs, Patrice Wilson of Houston, Texas and One Accord. Tickets to the event are $25 and it will be held in the John L. Dorsey Multi-Purpose Building, 13635 Old Spanish Trail in Boutte. For more information and tickets, call (985)308-0819.
