BCA now offering pre-k scholarships
A limited number of classroom seats are available at Boutte Christian Academy in St. Charles Parish.
Made possible be the State of Louisiana’s Non-public Schools Early Childhood Development (NSECD) Program and the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program, state funds will pay private school pre-kindergarten tuition for participating 4-year-olds.
Qualifying requirements for parents and children include:
• Students must turn four years old on or before September 30, 2012.
• Students must be current on all medical immunizations.
• Participating families must have an annual household less than:
$30,260 for family size of two;
$38,180 for family size of three;
$46,100 for family size of four;
$54,020 for family size of five; or
$61,940 for family size of six.
As a provider school in the NSECD Program, Boutte Christian Academy adheres to the developmental philosophy outlined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Developmentally appropriate practices in early childhood education programs are proven by research to result in long-term positive outcomes for children. Inherent in this philosophy is a child-centered program directed toward the development of cognitive, social and emotional, language and literacy, creative arts, and health and physical concepts and skills in a manner, and at a pace, consistent with the needs and capabilities of the individual child.
