Luling woman charged with doctor shopping at 16 medical centers
A 30-year-old Luling woman has been arrested after police say she visited 16 different medical offices and received the same prescription from multiple doctors.
Antoinette McGovern was booked with three counts of fraudulently obtaining a controlled dangerous substance.
According to a Louisiana State Police investigation into alleged "Doctor Shopping," McGovern visited 16 different medical offices between July of 2008 and April of 2011. She was booked into the Jefferson Parish Jail without incident.
