Chase David Bowers and Kayla Rayne Oliver

Chase David Bowers was welcomed into the world on Dec. 13, 2011 at 7:47 a.m. to Jessica Compton and David Bowers Jr. of LaPlace. He was 6 pounds, 1.5 ounces and was 19 inches long. He is welcomed by siblings Harlon Compton, 10, and Gadge Bowers, 5. He was also welcomed by grandparents Theresa Rushing and Jesse Williams of Destrehan and Janet Rodrigue and David Bowers Sr. of LaPlace.

Kayla Rayne Oliver was born on Nov. 23, 2011 at 3:32 p.m. to Lacy and Ross Oliver of LaPlace. She was 5 pounds, 14.3 ounces and 19.5 inches long. She was welcomed by grandparents Charlann and Bruce Nelson of Norco and Eileen and Keith Oliver of Birmingham, Ala.
