Lady Tigers beat Ponchatoula, fall to St. Mary’s

The Hahnville Lady Tigers ended 2011 with a big win over Ponchatoula last week, but started the new year with a 48-40 loss to St. Mary’s Dominican on Tuesday.

Hahnville beat Ponchatoula 43-40 and was led in scoring by KaeLynn Boyd and Rickell Preston. Boyd scored 18 points, while Preston finished with 16 points.

Rea Fields and Da’Janae Dunmiles also got on the scoreboard with six points and three points, respectively.

While Boyd had a big game against Ponchatoula, she was shutdown in her team’s loss to St. Mary’s and was held to five points. Fields and Preston led the Lady Tigers in the loss, both finishing with 13 points.
