Wells
Kentreon "Dees" Wells, 16, departed this life on Nov. 22, 2011 as a result of a long battle with heart disease. He was a sophomore at Hahnville High School in Boutte. Kentreon was baptized at an early age and attended Moses Baptist Church in Bridge City. He was the son of Sheree Wells and Kent Henderson, and brother of Kentrell "Tugga" Wells of Avondale. He was the grandson of maternal grandparents, Patricia Wells and Noah Wells of Boutte, and his late paternal grandparents, Jessie Mae and Joseph Henderson of Avondale. He is also survived by several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
Services were held on Dec. 3, 2011 at 2nd Salvation Baptist Church in Bridge City with Pastor Carline Davis Sr. officiating. Arrangements were by D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home of Gretna. Sign the guest book at www.rhodesfuneral.com.

Police dog sniffs out suspected burglar - 1561 views
With the assistance of a K-9 officer, police were able to track down a 23-year-old man who reportedly stole items from a car and broke into a house early Friday morning.
