Donate Pillow Pets for local foster children
Brownie troop 20023 and Sister Daisy troop 20082 are joining forces to try to bring Christmas gifts to foster children in St. Charles Parish. You can help by donating new, unused Pillow Pets. The donations can be dropped off on Dec. 10 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Hamada Orthodontics, 118 Lakewood Drive in Luling. For more information, call (504)909-6523 or email fontenotsheree@yahoo.com.

Dr. Rodney Lafon boiled down his decision to announce his retirement last month to a simple factor. With 40 years accumulated in the school system he had come to a point in his career where he would make nearly the same yearly salary as a retiree as if he chose to continue working.
