At St. Rose Elementary, 1st grade students are utilizing technology on a daily basis. During a math lesson on addition and subtraction fact families, Kelley Toups uses an ActivInspire flipchart for her lesson.

The students use ActivExpression hand-held remote devices to electronically submit answers posed by the teacher.

The devices allow every child to be able to participate and answer in a fun and interactive way. Questions vary from yes or no, multiple choice, true or false, numeric to even full texting.
