Join in Christmas spirit with chorus
PrintLULING/DESTREHAN - The Community Chorus of the River Parishes invites the public to attend their Christmas Concert on Dec. 2 at R.K. Smith Middle School, 281 Judge Dufresne Parkway in Luling, and on Dec. 3 at St. Charles United Methodist Church, 1905 Ormond Blvd. in Destrehan. Concerts will begin at 7 p.m. and refreshments will be served. Admission is free, but donations are gratefully accepted.

FEMA deadline passes with no new flood rates - 618 views
After indicating they would release new flood insurance rates by June 1 to be applied to local homes under the Biggert-Waters Act, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has said the release of that information will now be delayed.
