Madere
Roy L. "Shine" Madere, 82, passed away on Nov. 15, 2011 at his residence in New Sarpy. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and the owner of Roy Service Center in New Sarpy for over 35 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Dawn M. Cortez (Maurice Jr.), granddaughter, Mallory M. Cortez, and two brothers, James and Dale Madere. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Chase Madere, parents, Richard and Clothilde Madere, and brothers, Daniel and Ralph Madere.

Court tosses out 75-year sentence - 986 views
A 43-year-old man who was sentenced to 75 years in jail for molestation of a juvenile and sexual battery will be retried after his sentence was thrown out by an appellate court due to a technicality.
