Are you looking for a way to give back this Thanksgiving? Take this chance to help other local families in need next week during a Thanksgiving Luncheon. The event will provide a traditional lunch and gift bag to the first 150 people to arrive.
Event organizers are seeking volunteers and donations for the event, which will be on Nov. 24 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Outreach, 737 Paul Maillard Road in Luling. If you do not have the time but still want to donate, the organizers are specifically looking for $10 Wal-mart gift cards that they would like to provide to participants.
Those wishing to volunteer or donate can call Julia Bodden at (985)785-5831, Eliza Eugene at (985)359-9954, Venessa Simmons at (504)451-2668 or Ann Harris at (985)785-8745.
The event is hosted by the St. Charles Community Health Center, St. Anthony Outreach, Blessed to be a Blessing and the United Way of St. Charles.
