Henry Gomez Jr., 87, died peacefully on Oct. 31, 2011. He was born and raised in Luling.

Hank was a WWII Navy Veteran, 39 year employee of Western Electric Co. and a longtime resident of Minneapolis, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Sr. and Alice, brother, Jerry, and sister, Lorraine Foret. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Frances, son, Ron (Carol), grandchildren: Tim Gomez (Michelle) and Chris Schmidt (Brad); great-grandchildren: Adam, Isaac, and Ellie Schmidt; brother, Irvon "Cookie" Gomez (Dolores) of Luling, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services were held Nov. 2 in Minneapolis.
