Reed camp wraps at DHS

It was a rare occurrence Thursday at Destrehan High School as Ed Reedís annual football camp did not feature the presence of Reed himself, but there was a good reason for his absence ó the likely one day NFL Hall of Fame safety was headed north following the sudden passing of coaching icon Buddy Ryan. Ryan is the father of Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan, who employs Reed on his staff.
Wildcats use spring to evaluate, retool

Jaece Stroud was a force as a junior for Destrehan last season. He will be counted on to elevate his game even more this fall during his senior season as one of just two returning defensive starters. Destrehan coach Stephen Robicheaux calls spring an evaluation period, and given the Wildcats need to replace six starters on offense and nine on defense going into next season, it wasnít a time he, nor his coaching staff, would take lightly.
